Every plan includes the full app — chat management, tons of personalized setting, every privacy feature. Your team can message, share files, manage members, and make Pigeon feel entirely their own without spending a penny. When you're ready for sending more or larger files, that's when you upgrade. Not before.

Why does storage cost money but everything else is free?
Storage is the one thing that actually costs us money to provide. Servers, bandwidth, backups — those have real costs. Everything else runs on your device. We'd rather charge you for what you use than find other ways to make up the difference like showing you ads or selling your data.
If I upgrade, does my whole team need to?
No. Each person's plan is their own. Your upgrade covers your ability to send files like documents, photos, and videos across any of your chats. Anyone on Free can still receive files you send, they just can't send larger ones until they upgrade.
What happens if I hit my storage limit?
Never see the "you're almost out of space" message by setting a personal storage buffer to auto-clear old files. Chats with auto-expire enabled will automatically and permanently delete old messages and files at the interval you select.
Can I switch plans or cancel?
Yes. Downgrade, upgrade, or cancel anytime. There are no contracts, simply pay for any month(s) you want more file sharing.
Is the free tier actually usable or is it a trap?
Pigeon is genuinely usable without ever paying. Discord's free per-file limit is 8MB — ours is 10MB. A file from Pigeon arrives at full quality versus a degraded version from anywhere else. If your team is mostly text, emojis, and the occasional photos or documents, Free works great indefinitely.
Are any settings locked behind a paywall?
No. Every display setting, layout option, admin control, and privacy feature is free. Everything that affects how the app works or how your team knows you is free. Potential paid upgrades aside from send limits may be added in the future.
